Castelmagno and walnut gnocchi

Ingredients for 4 people


  • 800g gnocchi
  • 180g Castelmagno
  • 200g fresh cream
  • 100g shelled walnuts



Boil the water, add salt and cook the gnocchi. Prepare the sauce by pouring the cream into a pan and adding the Castelmagno, leaving it to melt on a low flame.

Keep some cheese aside to decorate the plate. Blend the walnuts in a mixer. Pour some into the cream and use the other part for decoration. Remember not to salt the sauce because Castelmagno is a very savoury cheese.

Using a perforated spoon, remove the gnocchi that surface to the top and place them in the sauce. Pour into a plate and add some Castelmagno and crumbed walnuts.
